Always wanted to be a Character Performer and spread magic around this amazing community? This is the job for you!
We are looking for local performers in Victoria to Cowichan Lake area to join our Team!

ABOUT US: 

Island Princess Parties strives to create magic and inspire children on Vancouver Island. We do this by making every interaction unique and personalized to suit each child. Our celebration packages involve lots of singing, dancing, arts and crafts, story times, and end each visit with the princess pledge that remind attendees of their kindness, bravery, and intelligence.

We believe all children deserve to be able to meet their favourite characters. We are looking to bring on people that share our passion for bringing joy, magic, and inspiration to the community.

The key to success as a character performer is having fun on the job. When performers bring joy and a bright positive energy to this work - that energy is reflected in the quality of the performance and shapes the experience of celebration attendees. 
 
Trust
Parents trust that we will deliver absolute magic when they book with us, and we refuse to let them down. We know the influence that the Princesses have on little ones, and our aim is always to inspire and uplift. We go above and beyond to make each encounter magical, and we trust our performers to do the same. 

 

TRAINING:

We provide on the job and online/in-person training for all of our performers to ensure their comfort and fit for the role, as well as providing fun make-up tutorials for each character that is portrayed!
We want to make sure that our performers are truly a part of our Island Princess family. We encourage open communication as well as creative input and constructive criticism. 

 

BIPOC:

We strongly encourage BIPOC artists to audition for Island Princess Parties. We recognize that there is an extreme lack of BIPOC representation in the Princess Community, and we want to make every child feel beautiful, inspired, and empowered. It is important to us that BIPOC voices are heard and uplifted, and we hope to offer transcendent casting of all of our characters. We are eager for any and all feedback as to how we can help shape the artistic and Princess community on the island for the better! 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be 16+ and have a valid drivers license or access to convenient transportation.

Must be located in the Greater Victoria to Cowichan area. Especially looking for performers in Cowichan at this time. 

Must have performance/improv experience - training in singing, acting, and dancing is preferred. 

Must have some knowledge of characters.
